Possibilities of continuing education | This qualification provides the opportunity for students to continue their education on specialist translation study programmes, and also on postgraduate doctoral studies in linguistics and related postgraduate and specialist studies. Students can enrol on Postgraduate specialist translation studies (University of Rijeka, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Rijeka; specialist translator). |
Employment possibilities | Activities in the public and private sector (mediation in the international framework, economy, culture, politics, tourism, media, research…). Due to the high interest of economic partners from the European Union, it is believed that this programme can create personnel who will be able to respond to the increasingly complex demands of an European-oriented social reality, as well as to the specific needs of certain market segments. Competences in the field of translation are acquired through university graduate translation studies, which are desired in business, economics, art, communication, modern technologies, legal professions, institutional contexts, and international relations. There is the possibility for employment in jobs that involve written translation – from companies that operate in international contexts to international institutions such as those of the European Union. |
