SOCIAL, POLITICAL, CULTURAL AND RELIGIOUS RELATIONS IN HISTORY | 1. Explain basic concepts and problems from different historical periods in global and national history. 2. Identify and compare significant historical figures from socio-political life in global and national history. 3. Evaluate and analyse demographic, political, diplomatic, geographical, social, cultural, and religious influences on the life of peoples and states in different periods of national and global history. |
APPLICATION OF KNOWLEDGE AND PROBLEMS OF HISTORICAL INTERPRETATION | 1. Classify and critically analyse events, changes, and processes in political, diplomatic, military, social, religious, and cultural history in different periods of global and national history. 2. Interpret socio-political changes, processes and events in particular historical periods and deconstruct interpretations in primary sources. 3. Draw critical conclusions and offer a sound argument about historical issues in historical periods. |
HISTORIOGRAPHY, METHODOLOGY AND SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH | 1. Research, independently process and critically analyse political, social, economic, demographic, and cultural themes in global and national history. 2. Critically analyse and evaluate historical sources and historiographical texts and employ different methodologies for writing scientific papers that are used when researching historical issues. 3. Explain the developmental path of historiography up to contemporary perspectives and its directions, discourses, and schools. 4. Combine the methodologies used in the research of different historical topics, make an independent analysis of historical sources and use literature and secondary sources, to write a final thesis. |
TEACHING COMPETENCES | 1. Explain and distinguish between didactic-methodological terminologies. 2. Design and independently present class preparations. 3. Explain and apply scientific research methodology and critical analyses of historical sources in history classes, explain the differences in interpretations and prepare students for their research. 4. Apply the basic principles of ethics in the teaching of history, whilst showing tolerance for difference. 5. Apply methodologies used in the research of didactic topics, and through the independent use of literature and secondary sources, write a final thesis. |
