Employment possibilities | Students will have acquired a degree of literacy and education that enables them to work in the media, publishing, the civil sector, and management in public administration. They can also work in other areas where there is a need for transferable skills, such as the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to engage in critical thinking and complex analysis. Such skills can be used in cross-sectoral collaborations between science, education and research, the advancement of democratic political culture and human rights, making connections between governmental bodies and civil society, or anywhere where the acquired philosophical knowledge and skills can be actively applied to solve social problems. |

PHILOSOPHICAL DISCIPLINES – FOUNDATIONAL CONCEPTS AND THEORETICAL DIRECTIONS | 1. Present, explain, and analyse foundational philosophical concepts, problems, and their solutions in specific disciplines. 2. Comprehend, analyse, and compare dominant philosophical theories in particular disciplines and independently assess which of them most successfully responds to selected problems. 3. Provide a contextualised historical overview of philosophical approaches in particular disciplines. 4. Describe and explain the basic positions of the most important philosophers in specific disciplines. |
CRITICAL-ANALYTICAL SKILLS AND METHODOLOGY | 1. Apply the tools of informal and formal logic to identify, analyse and evaluate arguments and their structure. 2. Evaluate the validity of arguments and assess their persuasiveness and strength. 3. Analyse and evaluate the logical structure of texts, prove logical relationships, and recognise typical errors in argumentation. 4. Critically apply and demonstrate the basic methods and strategies of critical thinking. 5. Acquire basic skills in the independent reading and interpretation of classical philosophical texts. 6. Comprehend, analyse, and compare foundational methodological approaches within different philosophical domains. 7. Independently produce an academic article using the relevant literature, and applying academic conventions for quoting, paraphrasing, referencing, and writing a bibliography. 8. Apply basic theoretical principles found in different philosophical domains to real life social problems and situations. |
