Possibilities of continuing education | After completing the undergraduate programme, students can continue their studies at the Graduate level. For students who choose to continue their education at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities in Rijeka, they can enrol on the M.A. in Psychology (Single Honours). |
Employment possibilities | The competences that students acquire after completing their undergraduate studies are: • basic knowledge of psychological research methods, research design, statistical data analysis and measurement techniques, • knowledge about general psychology, the biological foundations of psychological processes, cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, personality psychology and social psychology, • general information about applied areas of psychology. In addition to acquiring this basic knowledge, the following specific and general/generic skills are also acquired: • skills related to the humanities (e.g. critical thinking, essay writing) and the natural sciences (hypothesis testing, statistical procedures); • specific skills – drafting a research outline, methods and measurements, statistics – which are also applicable to professions outside of psychology, • general skills – communication skills, numerical skills, critical thinking skills, use of information technology – which are also necessary for professional psychological work. As a result, the B.A. in Psychology offers the basis for working in a variety of other professional fields (media, information technology, marketing, market research and public opinion research, etc.). |

INTERPRETING PSYCHOLOGICAL THEORY, FUNDAMENTAL PSYCHOLOGICAL PROCESSES AND TRAITS | 1. Explain fundamental psychological processes and traits (perception, memory, thinking, language, intelligence, motivation, emotions, personality, social behaviour) their neurobiological and evolutionary origins, and mechanisms of development. 2. Link and evaluate fundamental cognition in psychology as a fundamental and applied science. 3.
