The Center for Advanced Studies Southeast Europe, the University of Rijeka, the University’s Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and its Department of Philosophy are organizing the eighth edition of their Summer School on Equality and Citizenship.
This Summer School does not reproduce the familiar educational format of a university course. Instead, it consists of several workshops and symposia dedicated to contemporary issues in political philosophy, ethics and other related disciplines, as well as symposia dedicated to the work of distinguished guests and plenary speakers.
This year’s program incorporates:
- Jessica Begon Symposium: Disability through the Lens of Justice – July 19th and July 20th, 2022
- Symposium: Mental Disorders, Public Justification and Values – July 21st and July 22nd, 2022
The Summer School pertains primarily to post-doctoral and doctoral researchers, who are invited to contribute by commenting and asking informed questions. Moreover, post-doctoral and doctoral students who have participated in the school’s previous editions are invited to propose presenting their articles at the symposia. Post-doctoral and doctoral students alone can obtain certificates of participation that describe their engagement at the Summer School.
This year’s Summer School will take place at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Rijeka (Sveučilišna avenija 4, Rijeka) from July 19th to July 22nd, 2022.
